Hackney
Hackney is one the boroughs that has the advantage of beautiful waterways running directly from the borough right into the Olympic Park. As the Park begins to open in 2013 these waterways, and the towpaths running alongside, will offer a direct connection between your local community and the Olympic Park. Take a look at the By the Water to the Park route and some of our other routes below to give you some ideas for the Take 12 Distance Challenge.
In 2013 the Copper Box, an incredible sporting facility, will be re-opened in Hackney for public use. In the meantime there are hundreds of opportunities to take part in a wide range of sports across the borough.
