Newham
The Greenway cutting right through the heart of Newham enables local residents and visitors to absorb some of the incredible re-development that has taken place within the borough in the lead up to the London 2012 Games. Once the Olympic Park re-opens in 2013 it will offer a direct connection between your local community and the Olympic Park. Take a look at the current Greenways route and some of our other routes through the borough that are listed below, to give you some ideas for the Take 12 Distance Challenge.
In 2014 the country’s most iconic swimming pool will be re-opened in Newham for public use, but in the meantime there are hundreds of opportunities to take part in a wide range of sports across the borough. Take a look at some of the sporting options under the “12 Hour Challenge Sports” tab to see just some of the many opportunities near you.

Curwen Primary School
have decided to make 10, year 5 pupils their Take12 Ambassadors to help build the boys' self-confidence. These pupils will encourage others to join the Take12 Challenge, by organising a range lunchtimes and afterschool activities. The boys will have the responsibility of running the activities and collating the results. -
